Review of : Another Soccer Weekend By Emily D. age: 14 Missouri

As I was reading my three mandatory narratives by other kids around the country, this one caught my attention for the reason it had the word "soccer" in it. I automatically thought that I would instantly connect with the author, Emily. But overall I was not so satisfied with her vocabulary and the lack of emotion, imagery, and details. As a reader I would have liked a lot more sensory details and thus that has become one of my top goals when writing my own narrative this week. In order for that to happen, I know I'm going to have to write about something more meaningful and personal. So i got my work cut out for me and have a bit better comprehension of what I need to do. But I would have to say good job Emily and thanks for the inspiration :)

Ich HeiBe Maya....

Today went by quite fast. Mostly all my classes went by easily and there was nothing too difficult that made me thing junior year would be too stressing for me. U.S. history was just review, the yells of Mr. Landgreen filled period 3, typing everybody's email and blog into a chart that would make life easier for Ms.Forbes in Period 5 was long but not back breaking, and AP Lit was just writing an essay about media and the ignorance it causes. But out of the 9 hour learning day, the most difficult part was German class after school. For some strange reason, the alphabet ,numbers, and pronunciation don't stick. It's as though I was only meant for English and all other foreign languages are just incorrect. Don't get me wrong, I love a challenge, but maybe I just need to look at this in a different stance...
